Subjects Taught

Want to know a fun fact about me?! I actually attended South when I was in middle school! I am beyond thrilled to be back and have the opportunity to teach here. I have many great memories of my time here. I hope you have a great experience at South too!

I am a 2004 Graduate of Franklin County High School. Upon graduation, I moved to Johnson City, TN and attended East Tennessee State University. While at ETSU, I earned my bachelors in Biology in 2008 and my masters in teaching in 2010. I am a proud ETSU graduate! Go BUCS!

2019/2020 will be my 9th year in the classroom. I spent my first four years in Carter County, TN teaching at Unaka highschool. While there, I taught Environmental Science, Physical Science, and Biology. The last four years were spent teaching in Memphis, TN where I accepted a position as a founding teacher for the Maxine Smith STEAM Academy. While there, I taught 7th grade science and 8th grade science. This will be my first official year in 6th grade, but I am beyond blessed to have this opportunity and look forward to planning exciting lessons for you!

I am the wife of an amazing man, Trey, and mother to two beautiful Daughters, Eleanor and Katherine. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family, read, and plan adventures for my family!
